Helping People Safely and Effectively

Instead of handing out cash, the better path to help our neighbors in need is by supporting the homeless service agencies that guide people in need to services, food, housing and more.

The United Way of Central West Virginia collects the money from this effort and provides ALL of it to the six Charleston agencies providing services for homeless individuals.

"Giving isn't wrong. Give where it belongs."

Lt. Paul Perdue,
Charleston, WV Police Department
